After three years, the first book of the Corvidae series is finally complete! In the beginning, my job was taking up so much of my time and energy. I ended up leaving after taking a year-long hiatus from the book. In my current position, I worked on the manuscript before and after work and even during lunch breaks. It was gratifying hard work. I would often feel the sense of untapped adventure walking back to my car at night from the library. However, this lifestyle came with so many lost nights of sleep, stress, and anxiety. The constant workload without breaks certainly did a number on my nervous system. If the book gets enough support, I hope to be able to quit my full-time job and write instead. Doing so would produce a much faster turn around time for manuscripts.
